I always appreciate when drivers follow the "alternate feed" method when sitting in traffic. That is, when there is a line of traffic waiting to go one way and those drivers in the direct line alternately allow one car from another line waiting to get in the main line (e.g. leaving a parking lot after a big event or trying to get on to 787 from Swan Street).

I love stories like that. It is important to remember that people aren't all bad (I could use reminders like that particularly after traveling on planes and being in airports). Indeed, we're all human just trying to get by. Like Jemaine says on Flight of the Conchords, "I'm a person; he's a person; you're a person; that person over there is a person." So we should all just treat each other like people and be nice.

Bring on the prunes! I dream of them often (and you, of course, Alex... oh wait, did I just say that aloud?).

and people always bad-mouth folks from Jersey...maybe that's the folks from Southern Jersey???? So nice to read about the good in people when lately all we hear about are anger issues.

I am from the Northeast but still believe that people are inherently good. Most people anyway. The a***holes get all the attention. I loved this post and would like to think that I would do the same or vice versa. You know what I mean.

I hear you, Gina. Fried heavenly goodness!

Every bite of croquetas brings me back home. Whenever my mom made croquetas, I would always make sure that there were some left to eat the next day. Then, the following day I would return home from school and find that my croquetas were gone! My dad always ate them before me! But I didn't mind that much. I eventually made sure there were enough croquetas left for both of us. :)

I tried croquetas at a Spanish restaurant while in San Francisco. I can understand why Cati only allowed you a few and why she was so excited. They are truly fried goodness.
